Experience, judgment and sourced facts
Hearthline guides are created using real family and homeschool experience, practical editorial review and authoritative sources where factual or safety guidance is involved. Lived experience helps us identify useful questions and formats. It is not presented as medical, legal, therapeutic, financial or other professional expertise.
Sources
When a guide includes factual health, safety, education, technology or consumer guidance, we prefer current primary and authoritative sources such as government agencies, recognized professional organizations and original product documentation. Editorial suggestions and adaptable family examples are identified through context rather than presented as universal rules.
Product connections
A free guide may link to a related paid Hearthline Studio digital download on Etsy. The guide is designed to provide useful help on its own. Product links do not change the care used to write the guidance. See our product and link disclosure.
Testing and claims
We do not describe a product, method or resource as personally tested unless that is true and stated clearly. Product contents, formats and compatibility are described from the actual files and current listing information. We do not invent ratings, credentials, reviews, endorsements or results.
Strengths-first language
Family and child-focused resources aim to use respectful, practical and age-aware language. We avoid shame-based framing and do not assume that one routine, communication method or support approach will fit every person.
Dates, updates and corrections
Guides display an updated date. We change that date after a substantive review, not for a cosmetic edit. If a factual error or important omission is reported, we review the issue and correct the page when appropriate. Corrections can be submitted through the contact page.
Illustrative imagery
Product previews are intended to represent the actual digital resource. Decorative or digitally created imagery is illustrative and is not evidence of hands-on testing, clinical outcomes or a typical customer result.
